Since 1997 B. L. Robinson Engineering & Surveying Company has provided civil engineering and surveying services to the private and public sectors. B.L. Robinson has expanded its support for this industry with Enterprise GIS Solutions, ArcGIS Mobile application development, GIS integration, training and Magellan GPS sales.

The staff at B.L. Robinson has years of experience in surveying and mapping for all of it's engineering needs. This team of experienced staff supports our industry focus in Enterprise Geographical Information Systems (GIS), Land Surveying as it relates to Site Engineering, Telecommunications, Oil and Gas, Electric Distribution, Stormwater management and Spatial Analysis.

ARC GIS Server

Utilizing ArcGIS Server technology we provide Enterprise GIS hosting, web map services, ArcGIS Mobile, and real-time GPS data collection. We support a regional database of the Great Lakes watershed utilizing ArcGIS Server technology offering web-based GIS and mobile connectivity on a subscription basis.

SPATIAL ANALYSIS

B. L. Robinson provides DEM development for use in watershed analysis and emergency management response. Our DEM data can be created from LIDAR data and traditional field surveying techniques. With the use of our GIS data we can query watersheds, soil types, ownership, critical infrastructure all within the defined flood ways path and existing flood plains to develop accurate large-scale drainage maps for analysis and planning.

LAND SURVEYING

BLR's extensive use of precision centimeter accuracy GPS systems provides accurate data to enhance existing private and governmental GIS systems. Our extensive use of CAD generated drawings and our own GIS Database allows us the ability to share this information with other GIS clients. Since precision data collection has been the main stay of our business, we have further invested resources in the development of our own GIS Database and equipment in order to better serve our clients with customizable data fields and the ability to adapt to any existing system.
